Declaration of accessibilit
ULRICHSHOF Nature – Family – Design is actively committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continuously working to make our website more accessible and are guided by the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformity level AA as well as the Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung (BITV 2.0) and the EN 301 549 standard.
This accessibility statement applies to the website published at www.ulrichshof.com and all associated subpages and subdomains that are part of the official ULRICHSHOF website.
Status of compatibility with the requirements
Our website is currently not completely barrier-free, but largely fulfils the legal requirements. Numerous barriers have already been identified and improvement measures have been introduced.
Planned improvements
In order to improve digital accessibility, the following implementations will be carried out by our commissioned internet agency WESEO GmbH, Gewerbepark 523, 8225 Pöllau, Austria in the period 14 July – 18 July 2025:
– Integration of focus highlights to facilitate orientation when using the keyboard
– Keyboard accessibility of control elements such as filters and navigation arrows
– Improvement of menu navigation and keyboard operability
– Extension of ARIA attributes for semantic labelling of control elements
– Optimisation of play/stop buttons for automatically playing videos
– Accessibility of the booking bar using keyboard and screen reader
– Hover states are also made available for keyboard navigation
– Gradual adaptation and optimization of all PDF documents into accessible formats.
Non-accessible content:
Certain content is currently not fully accessible. This concerns, among other things:
– The interactive overview map (especially the pop-ups integrated into it)
– The needs compass (not necessary for navigation or use of the website)
– The design and structure of the menu, which is based on an older technical foundation
– PDF documents provided for download on the website. These files are currently not (yet) available in an accessible format (e.g., not tagged or not optimized for screen readers).
The implementation of complete accessibility of these elements would represent a disproportionate burden within the meaning of Section 12a (6) BGG, which means that the associated effort or costs are currently unreasonable. Nevertheless, we are endeavouring to find appropriate alternatives and offers of support.
Third party components
Some functions of the website are based on third-party widgets, in particular
– the online booking route of vioma GmbH, Industriestrasse 27, 77656 Offenburg, Germany
The respective provider is solely responsible for the accessibility of these embedded applications. We are in regular dialogue with these providers and demand targeted improvements where barriers are identified.
Future measures
The existing website is based on an older technical system that restricts the full implementation of current accessibility standards. The process of completely reprogramming the website has already been initiated. The development of the new platform will take full account of accessibility from the outset.
Preparation of this declaration
This declaration was prepared on 20 June 2025 on the basis of an internal self-assessment. The information it contains is regularly reviewed and updated.
