Waldspielplatz
In the large Waldspielplatz (forest playground) with a dream swing, several skill stations and a vintage fire engine (from spring to autumn), everyone in the family will find their own personal adventure. And while some are looking for the hidden forest village, the brave ones whiz down the mountain on the double cable car. From the climbing tower and the pirate ship in the sea of sand to a campfire site with tepee tent and a giant trampoline – it’s guaranteed never to be boring at the Waldspielplatz!

Cottage by the forest stream
There is hardly a better place to switch off and recharge than nature. Here, everyday life recedes into the distance – an ideal space to practice mindfulness. You will find our small cabin by the forest stream in the middle of the forest. Linger in the untouched nature, enjoy the fresh air and let your soul dangle – here is the right place for it.
The walk from the hotel goes past the staff house and takes about 15-20 minutes. Important: Turn left at the fork in the road.

Tractor Porsche
It is the secret highlight of the ULRICHSHOF: the red Porsche Master. The tractor (in Bavaria we say Bulldog or Schlepper) was built in 1960 – so it is just as old as the ULRICHSHOF owner Ulrich N. Brandl. His father Ferdinand bought the 50 hp four-cylinder tractor at that time for 18,000 DM to cultivate his fields. When the farm was converted into a vacation home in 1992, there was no longer any use for the Porsche Master and it went into a deep sleep. It was only 22 years later that “Princess Michi” discovered the dusty old-timer and kissed it awake. With a lot of love it was restored true to detail and since then shines in new splendor. Whether for photo shoots, work in the riding stables, or outings with guests young and old – the Porsche Master makes the hearts of its fans beat faster and conjures up not only beaming children’s eyes.
Please note that the tractor is in hibernation and can only be seen on the ULRICHSHOF resort from spring to autumn.

Winter magic
In the ULRICHSHOF, in the middle of the Bavarian Forest and at an altitude of 530 metres, there is no winter without snow. But only Frau Holle knows when! For the little hotel guests, the winter forest is something very special: glittering snowflakes cover the otherwise green landscape. What could be better than exploring nature in such dreamlike winter weather? Whether it’s pony rides through the snow-covered forest or sledding down the slope until their cheeks are red – all children’s eyes light up here.

Sledding hill
Only a few steps away from the hotel you can hear children’s laughter in winter on the hotel’s own sledding hill. Here, children and parents race their sleds, form snow angels and romp together in the snow.

Skiing area Hohenbogen
A total of 6 kilometers of slopes and two toboggan runs for sledders await you in the Hohenbogen ski area. Here you will also find the longest floodlit slope in the Bavarian Forest. So you can enjoy pure fun on the slopes until late in the evening. Beginners will also find plenty of room to practice here: there are small drag lifts and a magic carpet for them. Discover the fantastic winter landscape around the hotel while cross-country skiing. At Hohen Bogen you will find a wide variety of cross-country trails – whether classic or skating – there is something for everyone here.
