An ULRICHSHOF apprentice is among Bavaria’s most promising young talents

A great success for the ULRICHSHOF’s young talent: our apprentice, Shakhida Ruzieva, achieved an outstanding 4th place in the ‘Restaurant and Event Catering Specialist’ category at the 2026 Bavarian Youth Championships held at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

At the 2026 Bavarian Youth Championships held at the Allianz Arena in Munich, she achieved an outstanding 4th place in the ‘Restaurant and Event Catering Specialist’ category.
The Bavarian Youth Championships are among the most important competitions for young talent in the hospitality industry in Bavaria. Here, the best trainees from across the state come together to demonstrate their technical skills, creativity, quality of service and passion for the hospitality industry.
We are all the more proud that Shakhida was able to represent the ULRICHSHOF at this special competition. Particularly noteworthy: Shakhida is originally from Kyrgyzstan and has achieved this success through great ambition, a lot of dedication and genuine enthusiasm for her profession.
The event took place as part of a festive lunch and afternoon programme against the impressive backdrop of the Allianz Arena. A particular highlight was the grand final exam dinner, during which the young professionals worked together to the highest standard. Whilst the aspiring chefs created a sophisticated menu for eight people using a set selection of ingredients, the trainees from the restaurant and hotel management programme ensured that the entire service ran professionally and stylishly.
This was not just about perfect table service, but also about specialist knowledge, wine and beverage pairing, the skilful presentation of dishes, as well as genuine hospitality and teamwork. Among other things, the assessors evaluated demeanour, service quality, advisory skills and professional communication with guests. It is precisely this versatility that makes the profession of Restaurant and Event Catering Specialist so special.
The awards ceremony, held right on the pitch at the Allianz Arena, provided a truly special setting for the competition. Bavaria’s most promising young talents were honoured in the presence of Minister of State Ulrike Scharf, Head of Department Martin Wunsch and DEHOGA Bavaria President Angela Inselkammer.
“It means a great deal to me that Shakhida was able to have this special experience. We are incredibly proud to be able to support her on this journey. With her warm nature, her dedication and her passion for the hospitality industry, she is a great asset to our team – and we are delighted to have her at the ULRICHSHOF,” said Diana Stangl, Restaurant Manager at the ULRICHSHOF.

Even though she narrowly missed out on a podium place in the end, Shakhida is now officially ranked among Bavaria’s top young talents – an exceptional achievement of which she can rightly be proud.
